About First Coast Esports Alliance

First Coast Esports Alliance (FCEA) is a Northeast Florida nonprofit organization founded in April 2022, that provides technology education, workforce readiness experiences, and career exploration opportunities for youth and young adults. Through hands-on, project-based learning programs, FCEA helps participants develop digital literacy, technical competencies, problem-solving skills, teamwork, communication, and career awareness that prepare them for future education and employment opportunities.

Our core programs include:

~Technology & Career Exploration Programs that introduce students to emerging technologies, digital media, information technology, game development, content creation, and technology-related career pathways through interactive workshops, demonstrations, and industry engagement.

~Game Design & Digital Creation Programs that teach students software design principles, coding fundamentals, digital storytelling, project management, collaboration, and creative problem-solving through the development of original games and digital projects.

~Tech Refresh Workforce Development Program that provides participants with hands-on experience refurbishing donated computers while learning hardware diagnostics, operating system installation, device imaging, troubleshooting, inventory management, and basic IT support skills. Refurbished devices are distributed to families and students facing technology access barriers.

~Tech Connect Community Events that connect youth and families with technology resources, career mentors, postsecondary education opportunities, workforce development organizations, and hands-on technology experiences designed to increase awareness of future career pathways.

~Esports and Technology Clubs that utilize structured team-based activities to build communication, leadership, strategic thinking, digital citizenship, and collaborative problem-solving skills while increasing student engagement with technology and learning.

FCEA primarily serves middle school, high school, and young adult participants ages 11–24 throughout Duval County and surrounding Northeast Florida communities, with a focus on youth from underserved neighborhoods, low-to-moderate income households, and families facing barriers to educational and workforce opportunities. Programs are delivered through partnerships with public libraries, schools, colleges and universities, youth-serving organizations, community centers, and nonprofit partners throughout the region.

First Coast Esports Alliance engages with youth and young adults through technology education, workforce readiness programming, and career exploration initiatives delivered in partnership with public libraries, schools, colleges, universities, youth-serving agencies, and community organizations throughout Northeast Florida.
